A boost to reading habit

Organization is celebrating consistently from some years Pustak handi programs on the auspicious day of Dahi handi. On this day, every year, we hang pustak handi instead of dahi handi. Children break this pustak handi and get books to read. The motive behind this program is that the children can get a chance to enjoy reading and develop interest in reading books on subjects other than the academic one. On the other hand schools can develop a good library over the years. We celebrate pustak handi in eight to ten schools every year and try to give eight hundred to one thousand new, colourful and attractive books to different schools.
