Brief History
Considering the eradication of the problem of malnutrition as a major objective, our organization started working from April 2003.
We registered our organisation in September 2003 with Charity Commissioner, Mumbai.
At first we started providing nutritional diet to pregnant women and children.
Along with it many other health programs such as free medical check up, counselling and treatment of pregnant women in government’s primary health centres etc. was started.
We kept on adding various other developmental programs thereafter apart from nutrition and other health programs started in 2003.
We started development work in some villages which were deprived of development, from different taluks of Maharashtra namely Javhar, Mokhada, Karjat, Nandurbar etc. Our first focus was on tal. Karjat.
Once the problem of malnutrition started declining in tal. Karjat after our efforts, we started various educational programs such as Balwadis, helping school going children to improve their talent by arranging various competitions for drawing, essay, memorising verses, eloquence, etc.; starting libraries, special programs for adolescent girls and innovative programs like pustak handi. A continuous chain of such programs was created.
Thereafter work was started in Javhar, Murbad and Shahapur taluks also.
In Murbad and shahapur it started with arrangements of medical camps and collective baby shower programs for pregnant women of that area.
In Javhar taluk we started educational programs such as balwadis, study centres, distributing stationary to school children, various educational competitions etc.
On health or malnutrition front, since last seven to eight years, we have started very basic and important work of admitting malnourished children from inaccessible taluks like Akkalkuva, Dhadgaon, Talode of Nandurbar district to Kulkarni Hospital of Shahada for their treatment.
We are getting a great cooperation and patronage from Dr. Alka Kulkarni. With our continuous and untiring efforts we could save lives of hundreds of malnourished children.
Under the program of orchard development we started distributing mango, Cashew, Jackfruit, Cane saplings to local farmers to make them self reliant and started vocational guidance programs for youth.
We are continuously helping farmers of Nandurbar district for agricultural and orchard development. It has helped to stop the migration of them for lively hood to other areas to some extent.
Fifteen school going boys and five girls are living at Kashele centre of Karjat taluk for their education.
There are eighteen full time volunteers who are working for organisation to carry out these different activities and programs. Apart from it there are many part time volunteers. All the volunteers take lot of pains to make these programs successful.
We have many well wishers and donors from city areas who do different work and help to raise funds for the organization. So far countless donors have given great financial support.
Last but not the list we as an organisation and our volunteers firmly believe that whatever social services we are rendering is a worship of God Almighty.
